All this feedback and attention I have been getting because of my artwork is so overwhelming. First it was the amazingness of getting in the NSW Art Gallery, then getting into the Newcastle Regional Art Gallery a long with three people wanting to buy my artwork, one being a permanent collection, being on an interview panel of three art students being interviewed by Gretel Killeen at the NSWAG, a request specifically asking for me to create an artwork and enter a $25000 art competition, being featured in two newspaper articles (including this one), getting paid to do a talk at NRAG about my experiences, and now I have been asked by a marketing company to do some drawings for them so as to try out for a part of a federal government project. All these crazy things keep happening. I don’t know why they are happening to me, or why I deserve it…
It’s sure making me question whether or not I’m in the right area of study. Maybe I should be persuing a career in art rather then as an english teacher?
I am so confused.

I don’t normally reblog stuff here but I am choosing to do so in this instance because:
a) It’s about art.
b) It’s my dear friend Holly and I want to celebrate her successes with her.
Only a very small number of HSC students are chosen to be part of the Art Express program and have their work exhibited and Holly was talented enough to be chosen. I applaud her and her collection of rabbits!
